LETTERS: Not understanding new positions; continued noise pollution
Not understanding new positions As is well known, enrollment in District 11 has been falling for the past several years. The forecast is for this trend to continue. More affordable housing What is truly affordable housing for those in the low to lower middle income range? If you are earning from $35,000 to $80,000, it is not homes selling for $200,000 and more! Monthly mortgage payments, if you could qualify, would be impossible to afford on such a limited budget. Our low to…

LETTERS: Flag stands for great nation; street’s residents are smiling
Flag stands for great nation When we stand and pledge allegiance to our flag, I can help but wonder just how many of you think about that flag. The many places it’s been and the things that it has seen. It’s the same flag that Betsy Ross stitched together so many years ago. Oh, we’ve…

LETTERS: Just because we disagree; lawlessness in city
Just because we disagree I have to agree with Timothy Gibbs’ letter (Sunday, Sept. 11) that we as citizens of America do not know our present and past presidents like we should. We rely on the written word from whomever we believe is telling us the truth. Also we tend to believe the promises the…
