New pantryExtraordinary Ingredients Gourmet Pantry has opened at 612 N. Tejon St. This is the place to go for more than 300 pure exotic ingredients from around the world. The shop stocks micro-greens from a local grower, extra-virgin Turkish olive oil and blends, chiles, heirloom beans, spices and herbs. Hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. Helping handThis week is the turkey drop for Care and Share at Colorado City Creamery, 2602 W. Colorado Ave. When you take in a turkey, you will get a free single ice cream cone. The goal is to get 100 turkeys for the food bank.
Holiday teaGet yourself in a holiday state of mind at a cooking demonstration at The Cañon City Queen Anne Tea House, 813 Macon Ave. The classes are held at 2 p.m. the third Saturday each month.
