Pueblo man stopped in Custer County riding motorcycle 120 mph
Custer County Sheriff’s deputies stopped a Pueblo man after riding a motorcycle at an estimated 120 mph on Sunday, according to a news release from the office.
On Sunday afternoon, the motorcycle was observed at the high rate of speed on Colorado 96 near Bear Basin. The release stated the motorcyclist was recorded by radar at 98 mph while approaching Silver Cliff.
Deputies stopped the rider, 20-year-old Ezra Trujillo of Pueblo, and found his motorcycle was unregistered and his driver’s license did not have a motorcycle endorsement.
Trujillo allegedly told deputies he “was just having fun,” according to the release.
The stop comes five days after a Colorado Springs man was arrested by Custer County deputies for driving a stolen truck over 100 mph, according to previous reporting by The Gazette.
