Beef talkDr. Rosamond Naylor, director of the Program on Food Security and the Environment at Stanford University, will discuss “Where’s the Beef? Trade-offs between grass-fed and industrial livestock,” in the Gates Common Room, (third floor of Palmer Hall on Colorado College campus), 1025 N. Cascade Ave., at 7 p.m. Monday. This talk is the third in the State of the Rockies Speaker Series: Food and Agriculture in the Rockies. The lecture is free. The event will feature nationally known experts from the wine, hospitality and culinary industry, including David Long from David Arthur Wines, Craig Reed from the Broadmoor Resort, and representatives from Riedel Glassware. Cost is $52.80.A multi-course gourmet dinner will be on Nov. 4. The meal will be prepared by the school’s culinary team. Each course will be matched with wines from David Arthur Vineyards.
