Colorado Springs weather: Above average temperatures return again Thursday
The high pressure sitting over the Four Corners will continue to bring above average temperatures for Colorado Springs on Thursday.
It’ll be sunny with a high near 82 today and northwest winds blowing around 5 mph, becoming south southeast in the afternoon.
Tonight we’ll see mostly clear skies, with a low around 49. South southeast winds to blow around 5 mph, becoming northwest after midnight.
Up and down temperatures are forecast for the weekend and into next week.
“We are tracking multiple chances for a cool down and this first one could be on Sunday,” Meteorologist Lauren Brand with Gazette media partner KOAA said. “A cold front will push through Saturday evening and into Sunday morning. This will help to drop our highs into the lower 70s here in Colorado Springs.”
An upper-level low pressure system could also help bring some cooler temperatures on Tuesday next week.
“We are still tracking this system, so some temperatures could change by the time we get there,” Brand said.
