For the first time in its 10-year history, Silverton Mountain will be open on Wednesdays, beginning with an early opening Dec. 2 for unguided skiing. Silverton had previously operated only Saturdays and Sundays for the first two weekends of December before ramping up to its normal four-day weekend.
