Driver caught speeding at nearly 130 mph in Colorado
The Park County Sheriff’s Office recently pulled over a driver going 128 mph, according to a post on its Facebook page.
The maximum speed limit on any Colorado highway is 75 mph.
The office did not specify where the driver was pulled over.
“When you choose to speed, you are putting not only your own life at risk but also endangering the lives of those around you,” the Sheriff’s Office said in the post.
A similar incident occurred in September 2023 when 32-year-old Rendon Dietzmann rode his motorcycle from Colorado Springs to Denver in 20 minutes by going more than 175 mph on Interstate 25.
Dietzmann pleaded guilty to his charges and was sentenced to 14 days in jail and had to pay a $300 fine in addition to $1,996.08 in fees stemming from his extradition from Texas to Colorado.
