2 teens injured in separate Aurora shootings

The Aurora Police Department is investigating a pair of shootings after two teenagers walked into the hospital with gunshot wounds on Thursday.

Police said officers began investigating a shooting after a victim, a 15-year-old boy, walked into the hospital after being struck by a bullet in the ankle.

Investigators have since learned that the boy was shot near the Rocky Mountain Car Wash at 1530 Kingston St, just off of East Colfax Avenue, when several shots were fired from a black sedan, police said.

The second investigation began after a 17-year-old boy walked into the hospital after being shot in the foot, police said.

Police said he told investigators he was shot around the 11000 block of East 11th Avenue, but declined to provide additional information.

Conditions of the victims weren’t released.

Police asked anyone with information regarding the shootings to call the Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
