Everyone knows you should use studs such as Peyton Manning, LaDainian Tomlinson and Terrell Owens every week, So here are projections for other players who might be off your radar.

MATT WILEY’S PICKS

QuarterbackDamon Huard, ChiefsIf you are desperate for a QB with one of your starters injured or on a bye, Huard could be a nice play this week since the Chiefs will need to score to keep up with the Broncos. Denver has allowed 798 yards passing and four TDs the past two weeks to Drew Brees and Philip Rivers.

Running backLendale White, TitansWhite is one of a handful of running backs to score in each game this season. The Vikings have a stout defense so he won’t rack up yards, but he will get the ball near the end zone and could get you a cheap touchdown.

ReceiverAntonio Bryant, BuccaneersAs long as Joey Galloway is out, Bryant is Tampa Bay’s most talented receiver. He likely won’t produce last week’s production, but he should be the top-targeted player. The Packers will be without cornerback Al Harris and that should also help.

SleeperRobert Meacham, SaintsWith Jeremy Shockey and Marquis Colston out and David Patten battling an injury – Meachem could be the player who benefits the most. He had over 80 yards against Denver and a touchdown two weeks ago.

AvoidAaron Rodgers, PackersThe Buccaneers are allowing 237 yards passing, but their defense has as many interceptions as touchdown passes (five).

ANGIE DISALVO’S PICKS

QuarterbackJason Campbell, RedskinsCampbell (four TDs, no INTs) is already a better starting option than Ben Rothelisberger (three touchdowns, one interception), Derek Anderson (two TDs, five INTs), Carson Palmer (one TD, three INTs) and Matt Hasselbeck (two TDs, three INTs). His stock goes up with the bye week.

Running backChris Perry, BengalsPerry has 280 yards and two touchdowns against three defenses (Ravens, Giants, Titans) in the top 10 in rushing yards allowed. He should do even better against the Browns’ defense (ranked 25th).

ReceiverJosh Reed, Bills Reed has 13 catches (one more than star Lee Evans) for 145 yards. The Rams are the worst in total defense (456.7 yards per game) and 30th in passing (272.3).

SleeperDustin Keller, JetsWith the Saints’ Jeremy Shockey out and the bye week, Keller (four catches, 41 yards, one TD last week against the Chargers) is one of the best tight ends still available in most leagues.

AvoidDavid Garrard, JaguarsEven with the byes, don’t be tempted to start Garrard (one touchdown, four interceptions, nine sacks). The Texans are sixth in pass defense (155.5 yards per game).
