Springs gang leader sentenced to 5 years
A Colorado Springs gang leader has been sentenced to five years in federal prison for possessing a gun as a convicted felon.
Bobby Ulysses Brown, 27, is a “senior leader” of the Sureno street gang, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office. He was been convicted of drug possession, theft and aggravated car theft in 2005.
Brown’s semiautomatic pistol was found during a February search of a house in the 4300 black of Hawks Lookout Lane, where drugs and ammunition were also found.
In June, Brown pleaded guilty in federal court to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
