One man has been arrested in multiple sexual assaults and burglary in Colorado Springs, according to a Wednesday news release from police.
Police said over last summer, officers received multiple reports of a man peering into residential windows, at times wearing a white ski mask, in the area of Colorado College.
CSPD launched an investigation into the reported instances of invasion of privacy for sexual gratification, commonly referred to as a, “Peeping Tom,” and came across a possible suspect — 54-year-old Troy Deck.
Further investigative efforts unveiled Deck had been arrested for similar instances in the past and was arrested on Dec. 29 for failing to register as a sex offender, police said.
Detectives allege a trail of digital evidence shows Deck had also been stalking a female citizen outside the Colorado College area.
Investigators were able to obtain a second warrant on Jan. 3 and arrested Deck that day on a charge of stalking.
In a continued investigative effort, the department said it was able to link at least 11 incidents of invasion of privacy for sexual gratification to Deck from December 2022 through September 2023.
Deck has also been identified by police as a suspect in a burglary and sexual assault case dating back to August.
According to police, a third arrest warrant was obtained on Jan. 16 relating to the burglary, sexual assault case in August, and additional instances of invasion of privacy for sexual gratification last summer.
Department officials are asking members of the public who believe to be victims of Deck, or who carry information pertaining to the investigation to contact CSPD at 719-444-7000.
