Philanthropy on the Farm a night of fun and fundraising for Children’s Hospital

It was a lively evening of delicious farm-to-table meals, dancing, friends and Western hats and jeans for supporters of Children’s Hospital Colorado, Colorado Springs, at Spruce Mountain Ranch in Larkspur.

The touching portion of the 2026 Philanthropy on the Farm evening was the stories recounted by former patients, now hospital ambassadors, and their families. And the sold-out crowd of cheering supporters raised their bid paddles for more than $700,000 to benefit the services of the local hospital for its young patients.

Over six years of Philanthropy on the Farm events, more than $4.2 million has been donated locally to support needs of patients, families and caregivers.

Serving as emcee was Greg Raymond, president of Children’s Hospital Colorado Southern Colorado Region. Salida, the medical dog, sported a Western hat, too.

The long list of sponsors was headed by Platinum Sponsors: Faricy Boys, Nancy and Dan Chapman, Sue and Tom Neill. Champagne Sponsor: Comfort by Design

The program retold the history of the local hospital from a time when the Children’s Hospital was in Denver only. “Our incredible community donated more than $15 million to make the construction of the Colorado Springs Hospital a reality. And since the hospital opened in 2019, the Southern Colorado region has donated $42 million to support the mission of Children’s Colorado and care closer to home. Care closer to home means families can stay together when they need it most.”

When there is a child’s medical emergency, every minute counts, making the pediatric emergency department nearby makes a lifesaving difference, the program pointed out.

Among the numbers for Children’s Hospital Colorado, Colorado Springs:

159,600+ total visits, hospital, specialty and outpatient clinics in southern Colorado.

40,300+ emergency room visits.
