A proponent of corporate social responsibility, Embassy Suites by Hilton Colorado Springs has made efforts to give back to its community in the recent and upcoming months. Embassy Suites has supported local and national causes by working with organizations like Adopt a Park, Children’s Miracle Network, Neighborhood Cleanup, Clean the World and Operation Opportunity.
Embassy Suites spearheaded the Neighborhood Cleanup project with other local hotels and restaurants along Commerce Center Drive in an attempt to beautify the street and encourage the community to maintain a safer, cleaner environment. Participants picked up trash, pulled weeds and repainted dilapidated signs. The group plans to repeat its efforts each month.
Continuing with the trend of green initiatives, Embassy Suites also participated in Clean the World’s hotel recycling program. The Colorado Springs team collects used soap and bottled amenities from the hotel suites once guests check out and sends them off to a company that re-processes and distributes the items to people around the globe who do not have access to these basic necessities.
The entire hotel team has also sponsored events in conjunction with the nonprofit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, like Miracle Jeans Day, which occurs weekly at Embassy Suites. Staff can wear blue jeans to work on Fridays if they donate $5 for one week or $8 for two weeks towards making Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
