Fort Carson offers Teddy Bear Clinic for injured stuffed animals
Children of Colorado Springs-area military families can bring their worn and damaged stuffed animals to be sutured and fixed up during this week’s Teddy Bear Clinic at the Fort Carson Veterinary Center.
In its second year, the event provides training for veterinary techicians and veterinary food inspectors to improve suturing skills and prepare for emergency trauma situations they may encounter here on a daily basis and while deployed overseas.
Children can drop off their injured stuffed animals Tuesday and Wednesday at 10 a.m. Suturing will happen Thursday at 10 a.m., and children can pick up the “patients” Friday at 10 a.m.
