2 arrested after car chase in north Colorado Springs

A man was struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle Sunday evening on the 4500 block of Edison Avenue, just off East Platte Avenue and North Murray Boulevard, according to an online blotter entry.

Colorado Springs police were dispatched at around 10:40 p.m. to a hit-and-run crash. When they arrived they found the man in the roadway and determined he was riding his bicycle west on Edison Avenue when he was hit.

The man was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver and vehicle involved in the hit-and-run crash fled the scene before officers arrived. The Major Crash Team is investigating the cause of the crash.
