Father’s Day 2024 is upon us and if you’ve procrastinated until the last minute to plan an outing with dad in Denver this Sunday — don’t fret.

Here are 8 ideas for a fun Father’s Day in Denver:

START WITH A MOMENT OF ZEN

Harness in the good energy, block out the bad. The Butterfly Pavilion is hosting a Rainforest Yoga event at 7:45 a.m., on Father’s Day. As the name suggests, the hour-long yoga class takes place in the bug museum’s tropical rainforest, amid fluttering butterflies. Tickets range from $10-12.

TAKE HIM OUT TO THE BALLGAME

No matter how far out of first place the Rockies are in mid-June, a day out at Coors Field to enjoy some sunshine and a cold beer is always a good time. The Rockies are hosting the Pittsburgh Pirates this Sunday, with the first pitch scheduled for 1:10 p.m. Tickets are still available starting at $21 on Ticketmaster, or as low as $13 on the secondary market.

HIT THE TRAILS

If you’ve got an outdoorsy dad, have him lace up his white New Balance kicks and hit the trails with you. There are plenty of options near Denver, from Boulder’s Chautauqua Park to Littleton’s Waterton Canyon.

IT’S A BIRD, IT’S A PLANE

If your dad is an aviation nerd, we’ve got you covered. Free Father’s Day admission for the dads and a new exhibit, Snoopy and The Red Baron, at Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum, 7711 E. Academy Blvd., Hangar 1, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

SHOW DAD SOME EUROPEAN CULTURE

The Euro 2024 soccer tournament has kicked off in Germany, providing a unique opportunity to day-drink with your dad (if you’re 21 or older) this Father’s Day. Three games are scheduled for Sunday: Poland vs. Netherlands at 7 a.m., Slovenia vs. Denmark at 10 a.m. and Serbia vs. England at 1 p.m. So why not check out one of Denver’s fine soccer bars, such as The British Bulldog, The Celtic Tavern or the DNVR Bar.

THE HILLS ARE ALIVE

Come for the beer garden, stay for the music. Chautauqua Park in Boulder is hosting its first annual Flatiron Sounds Music Festival from 1 to 7 p.m., on Father’s Day. Entry is free and the event will feature musical acts Clay Street Unit, Two Runner, Jake Leg, King Cardinal and Alex Wildish. Local food vendors will also be serving their fare.

BATTLE OF THE DADS

If competition brings out the best in your Dad, you might want to bring him to Dave & Busters this Father’s Day for The Dad Games arcades competition, which pits teams of families against one another. Price is $34.57 and will be held from noon to 2 p.m., with appetizers and soft drinks available.

HUZZAH!

Transport your dad back in time some 500 years to the fully immersive Colorado Renaissance Festival. It’s a bit of a drive from Denver down to Larkspur, but Dad will love the giant turkey legs, jousting competitions, arts and crafts vendors and copious amounts of ale. (Just keep him away from the wenches.) The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Prices are $28 for adults, $12 for children and free for children under 5. Parking is free.
