1 arrested after causing thousands of dollars of property damage in Colorado Springs

A man was arrested Wednesday evening after alleging causing several thousands of dollars of property damage near Old Colorado City, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department.

Police said at 9:45 p.m. Tuesday night, the department received multiple reports of a person throwing rocks at “random” windows in the area of West Colorado Avenue and South 31st Street.

According to officials, the total damage caused is estimated to be, “several thousand dollars.”

Police located a suspect near the 1400 block of West Colorado Avenue, who has since been identified as 31-year-old Nicholas Cleek.

Cleek was arrested without further incident and is facing charges of felony criminal mischief.
