Juvenile parolee arrested following 2-vehicle crash in east Colorado Springs
Police arrested a juvenile parolee following a hit-and-run crash in east Colorado Springs on Sunday, according to an online blotter entry.
The crash took place just before 5 p.m. near the intersection of South Circle Drive and Monterey Road, police said. En route to the scene, officers learned that one of the involved vehicles had been reported stolen.
Nearby citizens, who followed the suspect as he fled the scene on foot, told officers where he was hiding, officials said. The officers found him and took him into custody after a brief chase.
The suspect was in possession of a pistol with an illegal magazine, according to law enforcement. He was on parole at the time of his arrest.
All the involved motorists sustained minor injuries in the crash, police said.
