Tributes to Springsteen, Prince, plus jazz, bluegrass, classical concerts this weekend in Colorado Springs
COLORADO SPRINGSTEEN: BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN TRIBUTE: The Greeley-based band got together to pay tribute to the 40th anniversary of Springsteen’s 1984 album, “Born in the U.S.A.” It went so well that it decided to keep channeling The Boss, 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Phil Long Music Hall at Bourbon Brothers, 13071 Bass Pro Drive, $25.64-$48.05; phillongmusichall.com.

HENNESSY 6 IN CONCERT: The UCCS Music Program presents trumpet player Sean Schafer Hennessey’s sextet and its jazz sound at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. The group does all original tunes, and boasts years of experience. It’s free at Ent Center for the Arts, 5225 N. BLUE CANYON BOYS: Black Rose Acoustic Society will present the band that got off the ground in the early 2000s and is now recognized as one of the state’s top bluegrass groups. PAIZLEY PARK: Stepping into the epochal Prince’s proverbial shoes isn’t an easy task, but Phillip Lamar took on the challenge a decade ago. COLORADO SPRINGS YOUTH SYMPHONY WINTER CONCERT: More than half a dozen of the Youth Symphony bands will perform over the course of three concerts.
