Suspicious package investigated at Colorado Springs shopping center
A package that had the word “bomb” written on it was found early Monday at a shopping center in southwest Colorado Springs, according to police.
A call for service was received about 7:15 a.m. about a suspicious package in the 2100 block of Southgate Road, at the Broadmoor Towne Center, according to an online police blotter entry. Officers responded and secured the area.
Regional Explosives Unit detectives found that the suspicious package was a hoax device, stated police, who are working to identify the person responsible for leaving the package.
