Second Colorado ski mountain to open for the 2017-18 season Friday
The Loveland Ski Area announced Tuesday that it will open for the 2017-2018 season Friday on one run with an 18-inch base.
“We have been waiting all summer for this and are excited to announce that opening day is finally here,” said chief operating officer Rob Goodell. “The snow we received in early October has been a tremendous help, and our snow-makers have put in a lot of hard work to ensure the first turns of the season are good ones. We invite everyone to come celebrate the start of another season with us on Friday.”
Arapahoe Basin opened on the other side of Loveland Pass last Friday, with huge crowds.
