Culver’s restaurant in Falcon raising money for teen killed by suspected drunken driver

Culver’s in Falcon is raising money to help the family of Michael Finley, the Falcon High School senior killed April 14 when his car was hit by a suspected drunken driver on Woodmen Road.

Today from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., all money from sales at the Falcon location, 7220 N. Meridian  Road, will go toward funeral and other expenses.

Franchise owner Mark Stanley said, it “seemed like the right thing to do.”

Since the restaurant opened at 10:30 a.m., “all hands are on deck,” Stanley said.

Michael worked at Culver’s about a year, and Stanley said his sister worked there for about 3-1/2 years before leaving for another job.

“Michael was just a good kid,” he said.

The owner said he hopes the fundraiser will help the family financially and help people remember Michael.
