Woman allegedly steals Uber vehicle, crashes through Fort Collins yard
A woman was arrested in Fort Collins after allegedly stealing an Uber driver’s vehicle and crashing it through a yard then driving off in the heavily damaged vehicle.
The incident happened about 2:40 a.m. Saturday in the 700 block of Glenn Ridge Drive. A fight had broken out among passengers, and one woman refused to exit the vehicle, according to a Larimer County sheriff’s news release.
Fighting spilled outside the Uber vehicle, and the driver got out to restore order. A woman who had remained inside the vehicle locked the doors and drove off through a yard, striking a retaining wall, a tree and other landscaping.
