A man suspected of firing a gun inside a Colorado Springs Wal-Mart in early January after being caught shoplifting was arrested Friday in Thornton.

Jason Lopez, 38, led authorities on a short foot chase after he was located by FBI SWAT team, the Thornton and Aurora police departments and other agencies.

Lopez was wanted by Colorado Springs police in a robbery at the Wal-Mart at 8250 Razorback Road on Jan. 5. Carmen Angela Quintana, 37, is still wanted in connection with the incident.

According to police, Lopez and Quintana were caught shoplifting by a store security guard.

One of them pulled out a gun and shot into the ceiling in the north doorway. The pair then ran away. No one was injured.
