South-side Springs gas station robbed

A man threatened to beat a cashier at a south-side Colorado Springs gas station Wednesday if she didn’t hand over money from the register, police said.

The robber went behind the register at the Conoco at 2350 Hancock Ave. at about 6 p.m. and demanded money, police said.

The cashier, whose name wasn’t released, told police that after she complied, the robber told her not to call police and tore the phone off the counter and threw it onto the ground.

No weapon was seen, and no arrests have been made.
