Troopers arrest NM man after high speed pursuit
State troopers arrested a New Mexico man Tuesday after a high speed pursuit on Interstate 25.
Dustin Henley, 22, was arrested on suspicion of felony eluding, and other charges are pending, Trooper Nate Reid said.
Just after 10 a.m., the Colorado State Patrol received a report of a stolen truck south of Colorado Springs. Troopers spotted the vehicle traveling north on I-25 near Briargate and tried to stop Reid, who kept going.
“Speeds reached 100 miles per hour,” Reid said.
On the south side of Castle Rock, Henley crossed into the southbound lanes through an emergency vehicle turn-around and kept driving north on the shoulder, Reid said. Soon after, OnStar disabled the truck, and troopers arrested Henley after a short foot pursuit.
