The El Paso County Coroner’s Office identified a body found Friday afternoon in a tributary of Fountain Creek as 27-year-old Nathaniel Vialpando.

Vialpondo was found partiallly submerged in the water off Interstate 25 near Bandley Drive in Fountain, police said.

Fountain police are still investigating Vialpando’s death, but Deputy Chief Bill Elder said Monday that the circumstances are not considered suspicious. Elder said more information would be released Tuesday after investigators meet with Vialpando’s family.

Vialpondo was clothed and appeared to have been in the water “for some time,” Elder said.
