Ski Granby Ranch chairlift still closed a week after fall that killed Texas mom, injured daughters
A week after a Texas mom was killed and her two young daughters were injured in a fall from a Ski Granby Ranch chairlift, the Quickdraw Express remains closed as state inspectors and the manufacturer continue their investigation.
The resort said Wednesday that the high-speed, four-person lift will not reopen until the probe is complete. A timeline has not been released.
Ski Granby Ranch said it will be offering a 40 percent lift ticket discount until the lift is operational again. It is one of just four lifts at the small, family-friendly ski area in Grand County.
