A woman was arrested on suspicion of murder after two bodies were found in a mobile home on the eastern side of Colorado Springs.

Donna Kaiser-Anderson, 57, was booked into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center on suspicion of second degree murder, authorities said Saturday. She was held in lieu of $250,000 bail.

The identity of the victims were not released Saturday, pending notification of the next of kin. Officials did not release information on possible motives.

“There are some questions that are unanswered,” said Lt. Jeff Kramer, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office spokesman. “Our investigators are still busy.”

El Paso County Sheriff’s Office deputies found the bodies of a man and a woman Friday afternoon in a mobile home near Western Drive, east of Colorado Springs.

A man had called deputies about 1:30 p.m. when he discovered a bullet hole in the side of his home. Investigators determined that the bullet would have come from a neighboring home on J Street in the Springs Mobile Home Park at 1095 Western Drive, Kramer said Friday.

The two victims were the husband and the mother of the woman who also lives in the mobile home, he said.

Kramer said Saturday that officials are confident that the one and only suspect is in custody.

Deputies saw what appeared to a gunshot wound on the man’s body, but there were no visible injuries on the woman, he said. They also believe the two people died in the day or two prior to the investigation, Kramer said.

Although neighbors said the street was blocked off very late Friday night, there were no signs of law enforcement on Saturday. There was no yellow tape blocking off the home.

Sheriff’s deputies had canvassed the neighborhood conducting interviews, Kramer said.
