Colorado’s Classical Youth Ballet will present its second offering of the 2009-10 season, “Lullabies and Love,” in two performances Feb. 21.

First, the company will present “Paquita,” then renowned mezzo soprano Jennifer DeDominici (of Opera Theatre of the Rockies’ “Carmen” fame) will perform “A Charm of Lullabies,” courtesy of English composer Benjamin Britten. DeDominici will be accompanied on piano by Janice Saffir, while the company performs original choreography by artistic director Patricia Hoffman.

The stage will then be given over to Ballet Nouveau Colorado, a Denver Metro-based professional company, performing extended excerpts from its newest production, “Love. an internal affair.” It consists of a world premiere by Ammon, as well as four new works by BNC company members David Barbour, Jason Franklin, Damien Patterson and Sarah Tallman.
