– Central City Opera Festival: The country’s fifth-oldest professional opera company, renowned for its shows, will embark on its annual summer-long stretch of classic productions. – Denver PrideFest: Pride Month is here, and so is Denver PrideFest, which will relocate from Civic Center Park to downtown Denver this year. The Vizzy Denver Pride Parade kicks it off from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. down 17th Avenue, from Franklin to Lincoln streets. – Keystone Bacon and Bourbon Festival: The probably not doctor-approved event aims to satiate your cravings for the rest of the summer with bacon and bacon-inspired cuisine, including strips cooked in River Run Village, and pours of bourbon. A generous lineup of music, including the bands Narrow Gauge and Hell’s Belles, will entertain while you treat your palate. And while the adults play, the kids can hang out at Camp Bacon. – Greeley Stampede: It’s summer, and that means rodeo. Greeley’s annual event runs now through July 5, and features PRCA ProRodeos; concerts by Nelly, Brothers Osborne, Jake Owen, Nate Smith and Dierks Bentley; a Heritage of Mexico rodeo; carnival rides; demolition derby; craft beer lounge, and more. – Frederick in Flight: Somehow, seeing a hot air balloon take flight or even simply floating in the distance always provokes awe. Frederick, about a half hour north of Denver, will host early morning takeoffs at 6 a.m. Friday through Sunday, with a hot-air balloon glow on Saturday evening, depending on the weather. Live music, food trucks, a beer garden, and activities for kids will also be on site, Centennial Park, 630 Eighth St., Frederick, free; frederickco.gov/239/Frederick-in-Flight.

– Denver Cherry Blossom Festival: If you delight in taiko drumming, teriyaki chicken, sake, traditional Japanese carpentry, and ikebana, the art of Japanese flower arranging, you should scoot to Sakura Square in Denver for the annual event. There’ll be food, drink, a marketplace, info booths and entertainment all celebrating Japanese heritage and culture, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, 19th and Larimer streets, Denver, free; cherryblossomdenver.org.
