18-year-old charged with 3 counts of attempted murder in El Paso County
An 18-year-old tied to several crimes is facing attempted murder charges after a shooting unfolded at a residence in Security-Widefield in late May.
According to a news release from the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, witnesses said the shooting followed a confrontation between the suspect and three residents in the home. Camerage footage from the house showed video of the incident, including images of the suspect, later identified as Kaream Garrison.
Bullet holes were found in the front door of the home, located in the 4400 block of Witches Hollow Lane just east of U.S. 85.
An arrest warrant was issued for Garrison, who investigators later learned was already in custody for an unrelated parole violation.
He faces these charges: three counts of attempted murder, prohibited use of a weapon and possession of a weapon by a previous offender.
Records show Garrison is being held at the El Paso County jail under seven bonds that total $650,000.
Most of his cases were filed when he was a juvenile, but Colorado court records show Garrison is also facing two counts of second-degree assault while in custody in October 2025.
