Colorado Springs man accused of child sex assault in Pueblo County

A judge set bail at $100,000 for a Colorado Springs man charged with sexual assault on a child in Pueblo County.

Deputies arrested Daniel B. Flores, 55, on Tuesday at his home in the Springs and booked him into the Pueblo County jail, according to the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office received information in February that Flores sexually assaulted a juvenile and later obtained a warrant for his arrest.

As of Wednesday afternoon, Flores had yet to post his bond, according to jail records. His charges include sexual assault on a child in a pattern of abuse, aggravated incest and two counts of sexual assault on a child while in a position of trust, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

No other details about the alleged crimes were immediately made available.

Colorado court records show Flores has been charged in four other criminal cases, including two stemming from apparent domestic violence incidents. In those cases, he pleaded guilty to third-degree assault on June 4 in Pueblo County and criminal mischief in 2021 in El Paso County.
