Dozens of gallons of fuel leak onto Colorado Springs road, shut down lanes
The Colorado Springs Fire Department’s hazmat team is responding to a diesel fuel leak Friday morning along a roadway on the city’s south side.
Around 50 gallons of fuel from a semi-truckleaked near the intersection of Hancock Expressway and Milton Proby Parkway, the Fire Department announced in a social media post just after 9:30 a.m.
Eastbound Milton Proby east of Hancock is down to one lane.
“Please avoid the area as cleanup takes place,” the Fire Department said in the post.
