Colorado Springs firefighters extinguished most of a house fire near Powers Boulevard on Tuesday that displaced one person, according to a social media post by the department.

That individual was evaluated for minor burns and smoke inhalation. No one else was injured in the fire in the 5400 block of Alteza Drive.

Firefighting crews anticipate to be on site through Wednesday morning to fully extinguish the fire, according to the department.

The fire’s cause has not been released.
