Air Force hockey announces full schedule for the 2026-27 season
On Wednesday, Air Force hockey unveiled its full schedule for the upcoming 2026-27 season.
The Falcons will begin their campaign as they did last season, with an exhibition against the Omaha Mavericks. Whereas Air Force traveled to the National Collegiate Hockey Conference foe last season, this year, the Mavericks will come to Cadet Ice Arena on Oct. 2.
The season officially begins for Air Force on the road as the Falcons travel to St. Thomas on Oct. 9-10. The Tommies played at Air Force last season.
The Falcons’ home opener takes place the following weekend against visiting Lindenwood on Oct. 16-17.
Air Force came within a period of taking the Pikes Peak Trophy away from crosstown rival Colorado College last season. The Falcons will attempt to regain the trophy this year in a two-game, home-and-home series on Oct. 23-24. On the first night, Air Force will play at CC’s Ed Robson Arena and the second game will take place at Cadet Ice Arena.
Air Force’s remaining nonconference opponents are Princeton (Nov. 21-22) and Lake Superior State (Jan. 2-3)
Air Force opens its conference slate on Oct. 30-31 when the Falcons play at Robert Morris University, where the Falcons’ season came to an end in March.
On Nov. 6-7, Air Force will host rival Army as part of a four-game homestand. The next weekend, the Falcons will complete the homestand hosting reigning back-to-back Atlantic Hockey America champion Bentley.
As per usual, the Falcons will play most of their conference games in the second half of the season with series against Sacred Heart, Holy Cross, Canisius and more.
