Colorado College to host UMass in season opener as team reveals full schedule
Two years ago, Colorado College hockey missed the NCAA Tournament by a fraction of a percentage point.
This fall, the Tigers will open the season against the team that got in one spot ahead of them. CC will host Massachusetts on Oct. 2-3, according to the team’s complete schedule, which was released Wednesday.
CC revealed its conference schedule last month.
The weekend after the opener, the Tigers will host the USA Hockey National Team Development Program in an exhibition.
CC hosted UConn to begin last year’s season. The Tigers will continue that series this year, playing at Connecticut on Oct. 16-17.
The battle for the Pikes Peak Trophy between CC and crosstown rival Air Force will be two games this season Oct. 23-24. The Tigers will host the Falcons at Ed Robson Arena on the 23rd and then travel to Cadet Ice Arena on the 24th.
The Tigers will again have a series on Thanksgiving weekend this year. CC hosts Alaska on Nov. 27 and 28.
