UPDATE: The Colorado Springs Police Department said 11-year-old Michael Carrera, who had been reported missing, was found Tuesday and is safe.

Police are searching for missing 11-year-old Michael Carrera, who was last seen Monday afternoon at his home in southeast Colorado Springs.

Carrera’s home is located in the 3300 block of East Fountain Boulevard, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department. His family believes he may be in the area of South Academy Boulevard and Drennan Road.

Carrera is around 5-foot-2 and has a thin build with brown hair, green eyes and a scar above his right eyebrow. He was last seen wearing a gray shirt, blue jeans and white shoes.
