Two players left a strong impression on the Broncos after being invited to try out at rookie minicamp.

The Broncos are expected to sign wide receiver Michael Woods II and cornerback Paul Manning, a source confirmed Monday to The Denver Gazette.

Woods, 26, was a sixth-round draft pick in 2022 by the Browns. He’s appeared in 15 career NFL games with 12 catches for 110 yards. Woods is listed at 6-foot-1, 204 pounds. He played in college at Arkansas (2018-20) and Oklahoma (2021).

The Broncos have strong competition in their wide receivers room this offseason.

Denver traded a first-round pick to acquire ex-Dolphins wideout Jaylen Waddle. The team returns Courtland Sutton, Troy Franklin, Marvin Mims, Pat Bryant and Lil’Jordan Humphrey. Woods will compete for a spot on the back end of the roster or practice squad.

Manning is an undrafted rookie who played Division II college football at Henderson State (Ark.). He logged 24 tackles, seven pass breakups, one interception and one sack last season. Manning is listed at 6-1, 192 pounds. He was a second-team all-conference performer a year ago.

The Broncos return starting cornerbacks Pat Surtain, Riley Moss and Ja’Quan McMillian (nickel). Manning will likely compete for a spot on the practice squad.

The Broncos will make corresponding moves on their 90-man offseason roster. They currently have 93 players with an international exemption for punter Jeremy Crawshaw.
