Drag performances, karaoke and more: ICONS offers a week of entertainment

At ICONS gay piano bar, the drinks are strong, the vocals are stronger and the stage is never empty for long.

Known for its singing bartenders and high-energy atmosphere, the downtown bar at 16 E. Kiowa St. is keeping the spotlight on all week long with a lineup that blends drag, music and community connection.

On Thursday, an LGBTQ+ singles night at 7 p.m. offers a social, laid-back way to meet new people in a lively setting.

Then, headlining the weekend is Adore Delano, set to take the stage at 8 p.m. Saturday. Tickets start at $30, with VIP experiences available for fans of the “American Idol” and “RuPaul’s Drag Race” performer.

Expect a night packed with bold visuals and crowd-favorite hits that turn the venue into a full-scale concert experience.

“We truly have an all-inclusive space where people in their 80s and people in their 20s might be interested in different things, but they all want to be there to celebrate our culture and the many different genres and facets of our beautiful city,” ICONS co-owner Josh Franklin said.

And the party doesn’t stop there.

After Delano’s Saturday performance, the energy shifts into drag bingo at 1 p.m. Sunday, followed by ICONS’ weekly karaoke night at 7 p.m.

From big-name performers to first-time singers, ICONS continues to blur the line between audience and stage.
