Student allegedly threatens peer with loaded gun in Sierra High School restroom
Colorado Springs police arrested a student at Sierra High School who reportedly threatened another student in one of the school’s restrooms on Monday, according to a blotter entry by Colorado Springs police.
The school resource officer later contacted the student and found a loaded .380 cal handgun during a “frisk.” The student was taken into custody without incident.
No students were injured during the incident and no one was injured, according to police.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Harrison District 2 expressed gratefulness that the quick report allowed for an expedited response.
“The safety of our students and staff remains the highest priority, and we value our strong partnership with our SRO and local law enforcement,” the statement read.
