Man, 22, identified as victim of fourth Colorado Springs homicide in 2026
Colorado Springs police on Thursday identified the victim of a homicide on April 17 as 22-year-old Marley Day.
Danna Corral-Montelongo, 23, is accused of shooting Day in the torso during a disturbance just after 11:30 p.m. in the 1500 block of East Buena Ventura Street near the Patty Jewett Golf Course, police said.
Police arrested Corral-Montelongo on suspicion of second-degree murder, and she is set to appear in an El Paso County courtroom Wednesday for her first appearance.
Day’s murder was the city’s fourth homicide of 2026, 10 less than this time last year.
