Homicide investigation launched after ‘possible assault’ on Colorado Springs’ north side
What Colorado Springs police termed a “possible assault” on the city’s north side turned into a homicide investigation Sunday night.
First responders were called around 10 p.m. to the 7400 block of North Academy Boulevard, where they found a male, who was hospitalized. The area is occupied by several businesses.
Medical staff notified police about 11 p.m. that the man died.
The Police Department’s Homicide Unit has started a homicide investigation. No suspect information was available as of Monday morning.
