Two suspected armed carjackers are on police’s radar after a brief vehicle chase in Colorado Springs overnight Friday.

Authorities believe the two individuals, who have yet to be identified, escaped in a Jeep Grand Cherokee after carjacking the vehicle from a person while armed, the Colorado Springs Police Department reported in an online blotter entry.

Officers attempted to follow the stolen Jeep, but the pursuit was quickly cut short when it was deemed too unsafe.

Colorado State Patrol later located the same Jeep, followed it and was able to recover the car. As of this time, the suspects have yet to be located.

Police have not provided any descriptions of the suspects.
