TAVA: Coming soon!

Slowly but surely, Tava House in Woodland Park has set a date for opening.

“We are planning a soft opening for May 1,” said Mark Weaver, investor and spokesperson for the steakhouse/event center in the center of downtown.

Expecting the certificate of occupancy for the building in the next few weeks, Weaver said the hiring process for the steakhouse is ongoing, with training of staff underway.

“We have a lot of applicants,” said Weaver, speaking April 7 to the Downtown Development Authority.

In other Tava news, Debbie Miller, president of the Greater Woodland Park Chamber of Commerce, announced that Park State Bank & Trust will host Business After Hours May 19 at the steakhouse.

Following the success of the DDAs microgrant program in 2025, the authority has renewed the program, with the deadline extended to June 1 for businesses to apply.

With the resignation of Sarah Salazar, there is an opening on the authority board. Salazar’s term would have ended June 30, 2028.
