The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a 52-year-old female inmate Thursday afternoon, according to a news release by the office.

The county coroner identified the woman as Heather M. Ruiz and will release her cause and manner of death at a later date.

Ruiz was pronounced dead at a hospital after she was found unresponsive in her housing area and emergency personnel performed life-saving measures.

There is no indication of foul play, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
