Dispute between Pueblo families leads to shooting, arrest of man
Pueblo police arrested a man in connection with a shooting that injured another man following a dispute between neighboring families on Wednesday, according to a news release by the department.
Officers were sent around 5:45 a.m. to the 1700 block of East 10th Street after a report of a shooting and found a man with gunshot wounds lying in front of the residence.
The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Both families told police after the incident that their ongoing dispute led to the shooting, according to police.
Cody Walters, 22, was booked into Pueblo County jail on two charges of attempted first-degree murder and a single count of first-degree assault. He had not posted his $250,000 bail as of late Wednesday afternoon.
