Restaurants with some of the best views in Colorado Springs
In this weekly feature, we’re celebrating the best of Colorado Springs’ food and drink scene — as determined by voters in the 2025 Best of the Springs (thebestofthesprings.com). We’ll throw in our own recommendation, too.
Up this week: Restaurants with a view.
Gold: ViewHouse Eatery, Bar & Rooftop
No offense to locations around Denver, but we think the Springs’ ViewHouse best lives up to the restaurant’s name. Like the others, this one has big screens to watch the game. But how can we turn our gaze away from Pikes Peak? 7114 Campus Drive
Silver: Garden of the Gods Resort and Club
The resort’s restaurants include Grand View, with a window-paneled dining room overlooking Garden of the Gods’ red rock majesty. That exterior beauty is matched by a dazzling interior and elevated menu helping to set a fine dining standard in town. 3320 Mesa Road
Bronze: Patty Jewett Bar & Grill
The Springs’ historic golf course is also a go-to spot for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The kitchen keeps it simple with burgers, sandwiches, wings and tacos, and daily specials such as prime rib and chicken fried chicken are draws. But the ultimate draw might be the patio facing the greens and Pikes Peak. 900 E. Espanola St.
Our recommendation: The Penrose Room
Just when we thought The Broadmoor couldn’t possibly spoil guests even more, the reimagined Penrose Room opened in 2025. The experience harkens back to a history that started in 1961 — tableside service of beef Wellington, martinis and flambéed dessert — while the overall vibe is stunningly modern. The panoramic view, too, is timeless. The sun sets over the mountains, and the city lights twinkle with the stars. 1 Lake Ave.
