The westbound lanes of Mesa Ridge Parkway were closed Monday after a two-vehicle crash with serious injuries, according to the Fountain Police Department.

The crash took place near Mesa Ridge High School, but no students were involved, officials said.

Four people were transported from the involved vehicles. Two of the occupants suffered serious injuries, according to police.

Motorists were advised to avoid the area along Mesa Ridge Parkway, also known as Colorado16, and use alternate routes as investigators gathered evidence and interviewed witnesses.
