Man arrested after firing gun inside east Colorado Springs residence
Colorado Springs police on Saturday arrested a man who allegedly fired a gun inside a residence during a domestic disturbance, according to an online blotter entry.
Just before 7 p.m., officers responded to a call about a “family disturbance” in the 5800 block of Granby Hill Drive on the city’s east side. After speaking with the involved parties, they determined that there was no probable cause to make any arrests, but offered the suspect a ride to another location to keep the parties separate for the night, officials said.
Forrest Macleod, 35, agreed to the ride and “went inside to pack a bag,” the blotter entry stated.
While he was inside the residence, Macleod reportedly called his girlfriend on the phone and threatened her. At some point while he was inside, Macleod discharged a firearm, police said.
The officers eventually convinced Macleod to surrender. No injuries were reported.
Macelod faces felony and misdemeanor charges in connection with the incident, police said. His first court appearance is scheduled for Monday, according to jail records.
